We currently run a number of pre-school groups on Friday mornings.

The groups are further split by age so that the teaching can be delivered in a more focussed manner

The groups are as follows:

• Baby group
• Toddler age group
• Nursery age group
• Transition group

These groups run at different times over the morning. Please phone Sue Belton or Maggie Hart for more details.

Within the Baby group the children concentrate on the following activities:

• Singing and signing
• Tracking and reaching for objects
• Stop and go activities
• Musical instruments
• Sound production
• Object recognition

Within the Toddler group the children move onto table top sessions concentrating on the following activities:

• Object and picture matching
• Singing and signing
• Turn taking
• Making choices
• Sound production

Within the Nursery group the children are involved in the following activities:

• Speech and language skills
• Jolly Phonic activities
• Reading and numeracy activities
• Memory activities
• Social skills

Within the Transition group the children work as above but also have a "circle time" element which involves working in a circle concentrating on the following:

• Brain gym activities
• Pre-writing skills
• Physical Skills
• Social skills

All children in this group attend with their Teaching Assistant or Early Inclusion Officer
