Maggie is our Education Co-ordinator and leads our Education Team. She is mother to Alexander who has Down syndrome, and William who does not. It was a visit to the Down Syndrome Educational Trust in Portsmouth that prompted Maggie to set up a branch of the trust in Darlington. This branch then became the Education Centre for children with down syndrome, an independent charity in its own right.

Maggie was former Head Girl at the Convent of the Assumption, Richmond and has been a qualified teacher for over 12 years. Her qualifications include:

  • B.Ed. Hons. (2.1) in Physical Education and Personal and Social Health Education - Leeds Metropolitan University
  • Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Mathematics - University of Teesside
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Curriculum Leadership - University of Teesside

Maggie has always been a passionate teacher and dedicated to helping all children achieve their full potential.

She currently works at Darlington Education Village, teaching children with special needs.
