Alexander King, or Sandy, as he is better known, is our Chairman and one of our Trustees.

Sandy retired after 30 years with the NHS having held senior positions in nursing and management. He currently works on a part-time basis within the private health care sector. A former chairman of the Society of Psychiatric Nursing of the Royal College of Nursing, he has a wealth of experience of committee work.

Sandy is married with three children and two grandsons. His eldest grandson has Down syndrome. He enjoys a wide range of music, particularly jazz. Rugby is a passion with him and he gets a real pleasure in setting quizzes for his local pub and fundraising nights.
